2 years! Wow.. I used sposies on my little girl when she was first born because she was 5lb 5oz and quickly dropped to 5lb and took her a couple months just to get up to around 8lbs! We started as soon as we could though. I am addicted and I loooove it! It has become just as easy as disposables, in my opinion. People should just give it some time!

Lots of great cloth diaper tips were shared, so if you missed it, be sure to read through the comments. Thank you so much everyone for participating, and thanks for all the great soaker ideas! Look for them in my Etsy Shop over the next few weeks (and remember- if you just can't wait, custom orders are always welcomed!)

Snowman Butt (embellished fleece diaper cover) LIVE Giveaway!

Even though there is still a good six inches of snow on the ground from this past weekend, we're supposed to get 12-18 more inches tomorrow! Personally, I absolutely LOVE the snow, and am thoroughly enjoying this very snowy winter. It just makes me feel so peaceful and serene.

To celebrate all this white stuff, I thought I would give away a Snowman Butt embellished fleece diaper cover/soaker, handmade by me.

Fleece is super soft against baby's skin, and very breathable. It doesn't absorb moisture- it repels it, thus creating a barrier between baby's diaper and the outside world. Use it with your favorite prefolds and fitted cloth diapers, or even over disposable diapers for extra protection (and extra cuteness)!

The cover I'm giving away is a size MEDIUM, with the following measurements:
Rise = 17"
Waist = 15-17"
Thigh = 9-10"

You can find other embellished fleece soakers and longies, as well as many other handmade eco-friendly goodies in my Etsy shop, Enchanted Dandelions. You can see other soakers I've made under my Sold Items. Custom orders are always welcome!

On to the giveaway! I thought I would do this one a little bit different. Instead of having it end on a certain date, I will draw a random winner when we reach 200 comments. And instead of having a maximum number of entries per person, you can enter as much as you want. Sound cool? ^.^

Mandatory Entry: Become a public follower of this blog (see right column). Be sure to include your email address where I may contact you if you win.

Bonus Entries: (leave a separate comment for each one)
* Comment with a design you'd like to see embellished on future fleece soakers - unlimited entries!
* Comment with anything related to cloth diapers: about your personal stash, why you love cloth diapers, about their many benefits, tricks and tips, diapers you'd like to try, etc. Doesn't have to be anything significant or long, just little blurbs that stay somewhat on topic ^.^ - unlimited entries!
* Follow me on Twitter (leave username)
* Tweet about this giveaway, including a link to this post - unlimited entries! (just don't annoy your twitter friends too much, *wink*)

Good luck and just go nuts with the comments! Who knows... maybe if the person with the most comments doesn't win, I'll have to send them a little consolation prize. *wink* (In the meantime, I'll sit here and try my best not to join the conversation... it'll be hard- I'm such a cloth diaper fanatic. *grin*)

SproutBaby Review & Giveaway

When I first stumbled across SproutBaby.com, my interest was immediately piqued, and not just because I collectively call my children The Sprouts *grin*. It was because they carry SO many products for the eco- and health-conscious family. From yummy organic baby food to squishy cloth diapers, from gentle bath products to imagination-enriching toys, SproutBaby.com has it all!

I thought the SproutBaby website was very easy to navigate. Another great feature is that in each category, there are helpful articles relevant to the products you are browsing. For example, before shopping for baby care products, you can read their Guide to Personal Care Products for Babies and Kids.

Speaking of baby care products, SproutBaby.com sent me some samples of Episencial Playful Foaming Wash. The packaging is SO cute, featuring The Hungry Little Caterpillar. ^.^ The same day I received the samples, Oliver (my 18mo) decided he would give this wash the ultimate test by having a massive diaper blow out. I'll leave out the yucky details, but let's just say he was covered from knee to underarms. The Playful Foaming Wash certainly did the job, and it wasn't long before my littlest Sprout was clean again. The scent is very mild, and didn't leave any lingering scent on Oliver (although it smelled so pleasant, I wouldn't have minded if it did). It wasn't as "foaming" as I thought it would be, given the name, but still a great wash.

You can purchase Playful Foaming Wash at SproutBaby.com, along with tons of other products. AND Mountain Momma Musings readers (that's you!) can take 15% off their first order by using this coupon code: SBBL135. Valid until 2/28.

WIN IT! Sproutbaby.com is letting me give away a full-size bottle of Episencial's Playful Foaming Wash! Simply enter below...

EcoStore USA Review and Giveaway

Ecostore NZ was founded more than 15 years ago by Melanie & Malcolm Rands from their home in New Zealand. Living in an eco village, they were dedicated to their community's commitment to healthy living with minimal environmental impact. And thus their line of plant-based, bio-degradable household cleaners and bath/body products was born, and has continued to grow, including to here in the US.

EcoStore products contain "No Nasty Chemicals". Here's a list of some of the things they avoid...
* NO toxic petrochemicals
* NO enzymes
* NO optical whiteners
* NO synthetic perfumes or dyes
* NO Sodium Lauryl Sulphate
* NO phosphates
* NO bleach
* NO ammonia or ammonia derivatives like TEA, DEA or MEA
* NO parabens
* No propylene glycol

Yeah, that's a lot of nasty stuff, and you can read on their website for specifics on WHY they avoid them, such as health complications and being detrimental to our water systems.

EcoStore USA was gracious enough to let me chose two items from their store to try out. After much deliberating, I decided on their toilet cleaner and multi-purpose spray.

I'm a little bit embarrassed to say how excited I was to try their toilet cleaner. Our water comes from a spring on our property, so we have some pretty hard water. This has left very stubborn, and very yucky-looking, stains in the toilet bowl. Not wanting to use mainstream toilet cleaners (containing those nasty chemicals listed above, and not sure if they'd even work), I've learned to live with them, after MUCH scrubbing to no avail.

As soon as my package from EcoStore USA arrived, I ran to the bathroom to give the toilet cleaner a try. The Sprouts, being the curious creatures they are, crowded around me (and as there are no potent fumes in these products, I didn't mind). Ten minutes later, the toilet bowl looked 90% better. I haven't seen it so white since when the toilet was first installed. Absolutely amazing!!! I would post pictures, buuuut, it is a toilet bowl we're talking about. *wink*

The multi-purpose spray is awesome as well. It's naturally anti-bacterial due to the citrus oils, so I've been using it a lot both in the bathroom and kitchen. Smells great too, without being too strong.

You can purchase EcoStore USA products on their website. They offer FREE shipping on all orders over $25! Also, for the month of January, all of their baby products are 50% off. That means, you can get a bottle of baby body wash for just $5, and their lavender and chamomile baby soap is only $2!

EcoStore USA is also letting me give away a $25 gift certificate to their online shop on my blog! Simply enter below...

Mandatory Entry: Visit the Ecostore USA website, and leave a comment with which product(s) you would most likely spend your GC on if you won. Be sure to include your email address where I may contact you.
